To get started, create an account using your MassArt email. (Choose Register in the log-in block.)  Please use your NetID for your username. You can create your own password or a random password will be emailed to you. This is how you’ll confirm your account (look for this email in the spam folder if it does not show up in your inbox). You should not need to contact the administrator to begin using the site but please do if you are having difficulties.

Some of you may be assigned blogs as part of a course.

Once you have an account you can begin customizing your profile and create a blog. See what other users are saying and doing by checking the Activity and Blog feeds. Blogs with privacy settings on will not appear in the Blogs list.

Groups expand the social format to include forums and document sharing. Groups are a great way to share discussion, content, images and ideas. Groups include Forums. Any registered user can start a group and invite others into it. Groups can be public, private or invitation only.

Getting Started with a Blog

Weblogs (Blogs) provide a way to maintain an interactive, rich media website that focuses on content. You do not need any web design skills to begin blogging.

Once logged-in, you’ll see the gray administration bar at the top of the page with drop-down links for accessing your account pages and Dashboard. The dashboard is where you write your posts and do all of your customizing. Go to your Dashboard to begin editing the settings, posts, plug-ins, template and static pages for your new blog.
