    2012 - 05.02

Artward Bound is a four-year college access program in the visual arts on the MassArt campus. This program helps prepare 8th – 12th grade students with the artistic and academic skills needed for admission to and success at an art/design college or other post-secondary institution.

Collaboration with Beth Balliro’s Seminar 1 Students

    2012 - 05.01

Artward Bound students had the opportunity to work with Art Education Seminar I students for three afternoons. The first meeting was a site visit where we explored the different plants and animals living in the Fens and chose interesting things to focus on for the pages. On the next meeting time, we met in the classroom to create artwork and research about the chosen topic. The third meeting was a more creative artmaking experience related to the chosen topic.

    Foraging with David Craft

    2012 - 05.01

Foraging expert David Craft walked with us in the Fens and helped us to identify edible plants. Craft is the author of the book “Urban Foraging” which was useful to us in creating the Field Guide.
