Introduction

Working across the boundaries of art, science, and technology, Canadian architect Philip Beesley and his collaborators have spent the past decade and a half developing site-specific exterior and interior installations that explore the future of “responsive architectures” and have the potential to become alternatives to rigid built environments that inhibit our connection to nature.
