Course Description (AETE 502)
An examination of the major theories of research on developmental changes from childhood through adulthood. Discussions explore issues relative to cognitive, affective, and social development and their implications for artists and educators.
Peer Teaching of Artistic Development Models
Our group read Howard Gardner’s book Artful Scribbles: The Significance of Children’s Drawings (1981). We peer taught the materials in a small group setting during class. Here is our collaborative overview of the text and the two activities I developed for the peer presentation:
Bandura and Chip Wood
Collaborated with Suzie Blackburn to create an activity that demonstrates how Bandura’s Social Learning Theory applies to Chip Wood’s description in Yardsticks (2007) of 11 year old children.
