Abstract

Nicolas Bourriaud introduces relational aesthetics as a way to describe artists who work with issues regarding public and private space and creates situations where people come together in a social experience. Comparing the work of Tomas Sarceno,Liam Gillick, and Rirkrit Tiravanija, the ideas of relational aesthetics that Bourriaud first layed down in 1995 has become a stand in for a variety of experiences.
